The West Coast Pro Gas Association is a professional, competitive organization dedicated to promoting safe, fast, quality, heads-up drag racing for the last 11 years.
Members...
The Association members, 75 teams strong, come from many different cities in California and Nevada. They range from the Oregon border to southern California desert and beyond. They come from diverse backgrounds including the automotive field, the construction industry, computer sciences and many variations of the government fields. We also have a few 2nd and 3rd generation members who enjoy the competition and family racing together.

This is our fastest and most competitive class.
Many racers have 20+ years experience to get to this level. The engines produce about 1300 horsepower, cars weigh about 2200 pounds and achieve speeds of 180+ miles per hour.

This is our 2nd fastest class and very competitive because of the car count and lots of very good racers. The racers have many years of experience getting to this level. The engines produce about 1000 horsepower and the cars weigh about 2200-2400 pounds and achieve speeds of 160 miles per hour.

9.60 ELAPSED TIME
This our 3rd fastest class and it draws the largest number of competitors. Many racers have a few years of experience in this class. This class is probably the largest because of afforable racing costs. The engines produce about 800-900 horsepower and the cars weigh from 2400-3000 pounds.

$250.00 purse per race $250.00 x 8= $2000.00

This is an entry level class of the association. The members are usually younger and have just a few years of race experience. The cars in this class have the most diverse style and the least technically advanced. The engines produce about 500-700 horsepower and the cars weigh between2400-3500 pounds.
